For Immediate Release September
9, 2008:
This
past Saturday evening, Carroll Motorsports wrapped up the regular season at Sandusky Speedway with another feature victory.
Entering the night, Carroll found himself 14 points behind the points leader - the result of a crash in the previous event.
Entering Saturday's competition, Andy and the Carroll Motorsports team knew that they had to throw caution to the wind
and go out and win every race they possibly could to have a shot at the championship. That is exactly what the team
did by securing wins in both the preliminary and feature events they competed in. Unfortunately, their performance was
not enough as points leader kenny Phillips was able to do enough to end the night and season with a 7 point advantage.
In victory lane Andy said "This is a case where two guys ran well enough all year to deserve the championship,
but unfortunately only one can win it. In this case that was Kenny, and we congratulate him for it." Carroll
also vowed to be back next year where he intends to claim the coveted award. However, the Carroll team has nothing to
be ashamed of as they won more races than any other team in the division this year and were clearly the best performing car
all season but managed to fall victim to just enough bad luck to fall short by 7 points.
Victory lane was quite
a sight as the entire team and many supporters of the team joined Carroll on the front stretch. Not lost in the celebration
was the teams appreciation for the sponsors that support them. Including Hermes-Parker Concrete, Ltd., the Mason Jar,
HGCarroll & Associates, Ltd., Snyder Collision, Precision Engines, Lighthouse Lettering, Ltd., and their most recent sponsor
that they are very excited to be associated with - Terra Community College. Terra is located in Fremont, OH and offers
many techical degrees including engineering as well as degrees in the arts & sciences. In addition to the seated
classes, Terra also offers many classes online to accomodate students' scheduling flexibility and to overcome geographic
barriers. In fact, they offer a Computer-Aided-Drafting Certificate program completely online. For more information

The Carroll motorsports team will be back in action in two weeks for the Sandusky Speedway
Cavalcade on September 20 & 21. They will then wrap up their season with a visit to Columbus Motor Speedway for
the Main Event on September 27 & 28 where the team intends to compete in both the Modified and Super Late Model Divisions.
